Student Responsibilities Regarding Recommendation Letters
You must have been in at least one class with me and have earned an A, B or C in that class.
You must come to see me in person to ask that I serve as a reference or write a recommendation letter on your behalf. These are time consuming to construct effectively. I want to personally discuss the opportunity and letter with you.
To this meeting you should bring:
A cover letter detailing the employment position, internship or other opportunity
Audit that shows your academic performance
An updated resume
Any forms (recommendation forms for example) that I will be required to include
Any materials that explain the opportunity – job description, position announcement, etc…
List of the addresses where letters/forms should be sent --- I only send recommendations to the actual agency/organizations.
